Leaveland, Nr Faversham, Kent.
Nestling in the stunning four acre grounds of the owners period thatched family home in the heart of a quiet picturesque valley this delightful property makes a superb setting for holidays.
Close to Faversham one of Englands most charming and historic market towns and voted one of the three best in the South East in Country Lifes search for Englands favourite market town. The town is a treasure trove of listed buildings, from the handsome Guildhall, part Elizabethan, part-Regency to the UKs oldest brewery and has the added bonus of being encircled by some of the finest and most secluded countryside in southern England. Located between the rural beauty of the rolling Downs and the sweeping flatlands of the north Kent marshes, the region is ideal for walking, two of the most popular walks being to explore the Saxon Shore Way and the Swale Heritage Trail.
Visit the National Fruit collection at Brogdale and sample apples, cherries and pears or Whitstable, famous for its oysters, but whatever your choice you are in the right place to enjoy fresh local produce.
Packed with places of interest, from classic country houses, bewitching gardens, the famous cathedral cities of Canterbury and Rochester and the Historical Dockyard at Chatham, where Nelsons HMS Victory was launched, to breathtaking coastline and blue flag beaches, the surrounding area has much to offer.
If you can find the time to spare sail away for a day trip to Calais from Dover or go via Eurotunnel and with London just 1½ hours away by train why not enjoy a West End Show.
Cosy and comfortable and all on one level, the cottage has a bright open plan lounge/diner offering wonderful views over the garden and a charming brick fireplace complete with an electric living flame fire, just right for those snug winter evenings.
Leading from the lounge are two pretty bedrooms, one double and another small double, perfect for a relaxing night. The well-equipped yet compact kitchen leads through to the bathroom with shower.
With such delightful tranquil surroundings the patio is the ideal place to unwind and escape from the stresses of everyday life and discover an easy restful pace of life.
The property has a shared entrance with Monks Touring Caravan Park, but enjoys a quiet corner some considerable distance from the park itself.
