Thatched and beamed this quaint cottage ajoining the owners home in the tranquil village of Icklesham is full of character. The surrounding countryside is a beautiful mosaic of hills, woods and orchards, with delightful walks offering fine views towards the coast. Stroll to the village windmill where the views over Rye Bay are amazing or take the back road going east and you will pass through one of the old medieval gates leading into the picturesque town of Winchelsea.
Within easy reach of some of the county's most famous attractions, ranging from Roman castles, historic houses, beautiful village churches, fascinating museums, internationally renowned vineyards, glorious gardens, vintage steam trains and miles of golden sand along a stunning coastline.
An entrance lobby, perfect for those walking boots, leads into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a very special window seat overlooking the delightful cottage garden and fields beyond. Here you can enjoy a quiet evening with a glass of wine and a book, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Upstairs the en-suite double bedroom also offers delightful views. The lovely garden is very much a feature of the property and just the place to dine 'al fresco' or simply just sit and savour the countryside aura.

A very beautiful, very peaceful and lovingly cared for cottage, in an immaculate condition, ideal for 2 or 3 persons. Above all, there is the cosy and comfortable window seat giving a phantastic view over the open countryside - watch sunrise or sunset over a good book or a glass of wine. Also there is a large garden, garden furniture and plenty of place to play for instance badminton, as we did. The owners, Judy and Howard, are very friendly and nice hosts, always helpful and nice to talk to. The cottage is ideally situated for touring Sussex and Kent. Bus service to Hastings and Rye a few minutes away, direct trains from Hastings to Central London, beautiful sandy beach at Camber Sands. We can wholeheartedly recommend "Little Woodberrie" and plan to come back.
