Staying here you can really appreciate the joys of rural Sussex and the marvellous countryside. Much of the district is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the chalk escarpments of the Sussex Downs in the South, and the gently rolling High Weald in the North. Walking, cycling and horse Riding are very popular in the district due to the extensive network of footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways.

There is a wealth of attractions to discover, from medieval churches and picturesque village greens to thriving, award-winning towns, beautiful historic houses and gardens, and a host of leisure opportunities. Southwater Country Park, a former brick works and now a 55 acre park offers watersports facilities on its lake and an adventure style play area. Gatwick Airport is only 15 minutes away with it's rapid rail link to central London making it very accessible for sightseeing, shopping, a night out in the capital or equally if you are in the area for business. Bognor Regis, a classic seaside resort with a reputation for having more sunshine hours than anywhere else on the British mainland is a short drive away as is Littlehampton with its busy harbour and beaches.

A contemporary “minimal” interior awash with wood flooring and a palette of vanilla decor with splashes of chocolate create an elegant atmosphere in this appealing property. French doors from the outside decking open into the light and airy lounge/dining/ kitchen with hallway leading to double bedroom with king-sized bed, a single bedroom [with additional pull-out single bed] and shower room with hand basin and w.c.

But the “Wow” factor of the Lodge is the secluded decking where you can sit with a glass of wine and admire the wonderful view of the lake, or simply enjoy an alfresco meal.

Property Reviews
The Lodge at Ash Cottage is the most beautiful holiday home I´ve ever stayed at. The home is provides with every comfort you can think of. Dishwasher, washing machine, a fully equiped kitchen, nice furniture to suit any taste, DVD player and DVD´s, CD Player. Each bedroom has it´s on TV. The modern bathroom is very comfortable. The whole place is very clean and tidy. There are many footpaths and bridalways around for walking and jogging. The place is peaceful and tranquil. It well deserves the gold award. - MK Germany
We really liked the lodge in Horsham and had a wonderful week. What we couldn’t tell from the information and the photos was that the property is really close to the main house of the owners. This means that it feels that you have less privacy. (not that the owners in anyway intruded).

The property was spotless and had all the mod cons. The only thing that we missed was wifi and a place to hang your coats (other than in the bedrooms).

A special thank you to Stella who was really helpful when I managed to leave my passport behind.

Excellent peaceful location but still close enough to the towns of Horsham and Crawley and Brighton.

The property was in excellent condition, well furnished, very nice kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedrooms. All very clean and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped.

The owner has worked very hard to ensure everything is in place for the visitor, with helpful guides to the local area, tips and hints.

The only two improvements would be to include WIFI internet access with the the property, which for people needing to keep in touch with business is important. The other is more a personal preference but it might be worth considering a slightly softer mattress in the main bedroom - but everyones different!

Well worth its rating and provides very good value. - SH USA
Our property was The Lodge in Horsham (August 7 to 14). Beautiful cottage oberlooking a pond. Very quiet, very modern; appliances are top of the line, everything was very clean, owners very helpful and friendly. The property needs WI-FI. All our other rentals in the UK and Ireland were equiped with this essential convenience. We had a wonderful week and were pleased with the rental. Thank you. - AF Canada
The property was excellent with all the features as described. The location was wonderful although it would be helpful to know it is next to the owners home. The cottage is style of the cottage is modern , comfortable with all modern facilities. The heating is very efficient but is not often required due to the wonderful insulation. The location overlooking the lake is idyllic. - MH UK
