Rotherfield, East Sussex.

Just outside the historic village of Rotherfield set in beautiful English Countryside you will find Coach House Cottage, just the place to escape to and recharge your batteries.

Rotherfield is of those places that you can't forget once you have been there, still retaining that unique Sussex village atmosphere of days gone by. The surrounding picturesque woodland, quiet country lanes, peaceful bridleways and byways make this area very popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The village centre is very pretty and lying as it does on top of a hill, reveals stunning views all round. At its heart is the Millennium Green, an enjoyable haven of meadow, woodland, old hedges and wetland - a wonderful wildlife habitat. Then having walked up a thirst, step up to the bar at one of the village pubs and try local ale. A favourite is Harveys from the legendary East Sussex brewer - in fact no visit to Rotherfield is complete without a taste of Harveys!

Further a field you will discover Sussex's rich heritage - from the coast to the countryside, seaside resorts to historic towns and picture-perfect villages. Tread in the footsteps of Rudyard Kipling, A.A. Milne, Virginia Woolf and Henry James; see sights that inspired J.M.W Turner; get hands-on at the Observatory Science Centre or just spend a day mooching around open-air markets or craft workshops. With a great variety of attractions, leisure and sporting venues, plus a year round calendar of special events, you will find everything you need to make your stay a memorable one.

This delightful old stable has been imaginatively converted to a single storey cottage, perfect for guests with restricted mobility. A tasteful blend of soft natural colours sits perfectly with high vaulted ceilings, creating warmth and character.

Entrance hall leads to the lounge, the focal point of the cottage, giving access to the compact yet well equipped kitchen/diner, a double and twin bedroom and bathroom.

Outside the secluded pretty courtyard patio – an ideal spot to savour a chilled glass whilst surrounded by beautiful countryside- really makes you feel you have left the world behind.
