Mill Cottage is typical of the many period cottages in the pretty market town of Cranbrook and is situated in the forefront of the towns famous landmark, Union Windmill, one of the finest smock mills in the country. Cranbrook is home to an interesting selection of small specialist shops, cafes and restaurants making an excellent base for visiting the many picturesque villages and gardens, historic houses and fascinating museums throughout the area.
The natural beauty of the South Coast is within easy reach and offers plenty to do. Whatever your interests, from water sports such as fishing and jet-skiing to leisurely boat trips or simply pottering around busy harbours as landlubbers. With all this, and London just over an hour away by train from Staplehurst station (8 minutes), you will wish you could stay longer.
A pathway through the charming cottage garden leads to the front door and into entrance hall with stairs to first floor and door into a traditional kitchen with beams and equipped with all modern facilities, lime washed wood units and quarry-tiled floor. Guests can relax in the cosy living room with further exposed beams, wood burning stove and comfy seating.
The spacious upstairs landing gives access to a double bedroom and a second bedroom with single bed and comfortable stowaway bed underneath for an additional guest. The family bathroom has bath with electric shower.
The delightful courtyard garden to the rear of the property is the perfect place for an al fresco lunch or to just laze in the sun.
