Crowborough, East Sussex.
Part of an attractive Victorian country house Cleeve Lodge annexe is compact and completely self-contained in an elevated position with wonderful views across the South Downs towards Eastbourne. Within easy walking distance of Crowborough town centre featuring one of the only statues anywhere in the world of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, probably the towns most famous ever resident.
This beautiful part of England was the inspiration behind the Winnie-the-Pooh stories by A.A. Milne. So take the opportunity to tour 'Pooh Country'. or walk with Llamas in Ashdown Forest, pop into Heaven Farm for tea and finish the day with a trip on a steam train at the Bluebell Railway.
Entrance to the cottage, via an enclosed courtyard, opens into the dining room with door into the lounge and from here to the fully fitted oak-effect kitchen with rear door to an enclosed porch, which incorporates the utility room and leads out to the garden. Stairs lead to the spacious first floor double and twin bedrooms, plus the family bathroom with bath and electric power shower.
The patio, situated at the far side of the owners well-tended garden, enjoys lovely open views and is a good spot for informal summer dining. Guests are very welcome to enjoy the gardens.
Agents Note: Cooking by electric oven/gas hob and combination microwave. Pets by arrangement only
