Originally used as a Sunday School, The Old School House offers unique and very comfortable accommodation on two levels. Situated adjacent to the 12th Century St Johns Church, which stands on a hill north east of the small village of Doddington and close to the park surrounding Doddington Place. The property is in an extremely secluded position with lovely views across the valley.
For garden lovers this is the place for you with Doddington Place Gardens virtually next door, alive with a wide variety of trees, shrubs and plants including ancient Rhododendrons and Azaleas as well as a delightful water garden. When you have had enough of Doddington, Mount Ephraim Gardens, set in 800 acres with a stunning Japanese rock garden, is close by.
Within easy access of the motorways and many of the countys tourist attractions plus the South Coast and the Channel ports are only a short drive away. As is London, either by road or rail, so why not make a special day trip to the capital.
An entrance lobby on the ground floor gives access to the double bedroom with separate bathroom and has stairs up to the spacious open plan fully fitted kitchen/diner. The farmhouse table and chairs is an ideal spot to enjoy superb views over the garden or is just the place to sit with after-dinner drinks to watch the sun go down.
A further six steps lead to the comfortable lounge also with beautiful views over Doddington Place Gardens and the surrounding Kent countryside. One of the two sofas in the lounge converts into two single beds should they be required.
The outside garden room with second single bedroom also discreetly accommodates both washing machine and tumble dryer. A large private garden with patio includes a summerhouse where you can escape for that quiet read or relaxing afternoon snooze.
