The Old Water Tower is an attractive yellow brick terraced cottage set within a former workhouse and hospital site and has a surprisingly spacious feel, with high ceilings and tall windows giving plenty of light throughout.
The cottage is close to the pretty village of Herne with its character white weather boarded cottages, historic church and windmill. The area is also home to the largest and most ancient woodland, Blean Wood, and is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists.
There are many popular seaside towns in the area including Herne Bay, a traditional family seaside resort with a two-mile stretch of sand and shingle, and Whitstable both offering a range of leisure and water sporting activities, fine seafood restaurants and bars. With the M2 motorway being easily accessible, make the most of holiday by visiting some of the great local attractions, including the famous cathedral city of Canterbury, Howletts Wild Animal Park, Goodnestone Park Gardens, the Spitfire and Hurricane Memorial Museum. There is plenty to do for an enjoyable day out.
Or why not make a trip to France, so easily reached by ferry or the Channel Tunnel, both about 30 minutes away by car. Alternatively London is only 75 minutes away from the mainline station at Herne Bay. The choice is yours.
The ground floor has an entrance hall with archway to a bright and airy kitchen, which is equipped with all modern facilities and door to a cloakroom with w.c. and wash hand basin. Also on the ground floor is the spacious contemporary style lounge/dining room with door leading out to a small open lawn
Stairs from the hall lead to the master bedroom with en-suite shower room and two single bedrooms. Family bathroom with bath and hand held shower over, w.c and wash hand basin.
